The City of Port Phillip 2012/13 Budget and Council Plan 2009-2013 Year 4 (including Strategic Resource Plan) were released for public review at the Council Meeting on 8 May 2012. Hard copies are available at St Kilda, Port Melbourne and South Melbourne Town Halls or your local library until Thursday 7 June 2012. Alma Park Pavilion Upgrade

As part of the City of Port Phillip’s commitment to redeveloping and maintaining sporting and recreation facilities, Council plans to upgrade the pavilion in Alma Park to create a multi-functional space for sports clubs and community groups. Have your say on Port Melbourne Heritage (Amendment C89)

Heritage Overlay 1 (HO1) is an area based heritage overlay that recognises the historical attributes of the Port Melbourne suburb. Included in HO1 is the Bay Street retail strip, surrounding residential neighbourhood, the Port Melbourne Light Rail Reserve and some limited industrial development concentrated near the foreshore.
Amendment C89 to the Port Phillip Scheme is being placed out for public exhibition, with submissions invited until 28 May 2012.

Emerald Hill Vision and Emerald Hill Master Plan

Council has adopted the Emerald Hill Vision and an Emerald Hill Master plan. The vision and master plan will help us reinvigorate this important heritage, civic and cultural precinct surrounding the South Melbourne Town Hall and will once again make the town hall the centre of a vibrant community life, through urban design improvements in and around this building.
