Welcome to the City of Port Phillip's online consultation pages

'Have Your Say' provides a direct link into Council's decision-making processes and provides an easy way to contribute your ideas and opinions about key issues being considered by Council. 

There are a variety of ways to participate: fill in surveys, send in submissions, contribute to on-line discussions, give feedback via email.   

Registration is required to participate in the online discussion forums (this is quick and easy - see top right hand corner of this page).

New Masterplan for Marina Reserve St Kilda

Phase two - formal submissions to be considered on draft masterplan for Marina Reserve

As part of phase two of the consultation process for Marina Reserve, Council invited formal public submissions, supporting or opposing the draft masterplan. 190 formal public submissions were received, supporting or opposing the draft masterplan which were considered at a council meeting on Monday 9 August 2010.

The Council Report and Minutes can be accessed at http://www.portphillip.vic.gov.au/3826.htm   Following this meeting council requested a further report covering the issues raised in the submissions which will be presented at a Council meeting on 13 September.

Elwood Beach Renourishment

The City of Port Phillip and Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) are working to safeguard Elwood Beach for the future.

The DSE will be investing over $3 million on the renourishment of Elwood Beach to ensure its future viability for the enjoyment of the whole community.

The DSE and Council would like to hear directly from you on the plans for the future of Elwood Beach. Come along to the community information meeting on the enhancement of Elwood Beach.

Ormond Road PublicToilet

Council is seeking feedback on a proposed public toilet within the Ormond Road shopping precinct which has been identified in council’s public toilet strategy as having a shortage of facilities.

Intersection of Bay & Liardet Streets, Port Melbourne

Council are planning proposed improvements to the intersection of Bay and Liardet Streets in Port Melbourne. As part of its works, Council has engaged consultants to develop possible options to improve safety for all road users including cyclists and pedestrians.

 

249 community members answered a survey about the proposed improvements to the Bay & Liardet Street intersection. The survey results showed that 66.1% of respondents preferred Option 2 – Roundabouts. 18.5% of respondents did not like either option. Most of the respondents who did not like either option preferred traffic lights.

Calling all cyclists

The City of Port Phillip intends to use the responses to this survey to help support and inform future decisions on where to focus cycling programmes and projects within the municipality.

Bicycle Victoria and the City of Port Phillip invite all cyclists who ride in and through the municipality to complete this on-line BikeScope Survey, between 8 July and 15 August 2010.

 

Climate Conversations - draft policy documents for feedback

Council is working to implement more adaptable and resilient approaches to climate change and extreme weather incidents.

Proposed Updates to Garden City & Fishermans Bend Estate Guidelines

Port Phillip Council is inviting you to comment on proposed updates to the Garden City and Fishermans Bend Estate Heritage Guidelines.

The Council is proposing minor changes to the guidelines to ensure they are clear, effective and up to date. Click here to fill in an online submission form by 1 September 2010.

Greening Port Phillip, An Urban Forest Approach - Draft

Thank you to all of you who participated in the series of consultations to develop a new strategy to guide future tree planting and management in Port Phillip.

Council adopted the Greening Port Phillip strategy on Monday 26th July.

J.L. Murphy Reserve, Port Melbourne - planning for the future

Thank you to all of those who have participated in the series of consultations to develop a new masterplan and concept design for J.L. Murphy Reserve. So far we have had four community reference group meetings, two onsite community consultations and a paper/online survey.The high level of involvement from the community has been encouraging.
